At Quinta da Vacaria, care is taken to plan viticulture for the future. There is great determination to have an increasingly sustainable viticulture that favours good agricultural practices that respect the surrounding fauna and flora, in search of harmony between production and the land. During the 18th century, Quinta da Vacaria expanded its vineyards and improved its viticulture and winemaking techniques, which was crucial in consolidating the quinta's reputation as a producer of high-quality Port wines.
